  • considering my usual fishing bay and the beaches are rapidly becoming unsuitable for yak fishing ive started moving further west down MS to continue chasin the reds and specks. dropped in la france marina sat and made my way out to redfish bayou and heron bay. toughed out the storm and managed a nice 20 to 25 inch crop of reds totaling 6 quality catches in a 3hr trip and about 10 other rat reds and specks. will post pics later. nice day nice area, was wondering if any other MS yakers are around, navigating those marshes are pretty challanging alone. hit me up if anyone out there in the sport would like to meet up or if new try it out. ill put us on some fish not far from the launch and set up for a fun trip....2515540090...trey

man i bet you guys will have a great time. ive been migrating into MS more as oil has run up into mobile bay and forced me west to back bay biloxi and further. i do kayak fishing mainly but check out heron bay. you wont be to far of a drive to la france to drop in $5 launch fee. work the east and west banks near redfish bayou with gold spoons and glad shad/mirrodine mirr o lure lures and youll hit 3 man redfish limit before the heat makes you break a sweat. i hear good things about capt brodie him up for sure
