  • Had a great time at the Combat Vets Tournament this past weekend. We had 18 people fish the event and there were some nice fish caught.

    1st Place - Keith Hall/Paul Dehm - 16.02lbs/BF: 4.08lbs
    2nd Place - Glen Ellis Sr./Jr. - 13.26lbs/BF: 4.42lbs
    3rd Place - Charlie Bush/Brandon Treadaway - 10.50lbs/BF: 2.46lbs

All in all we raised $150 towards the combat veterans of Southern Mississippi organization and there we plenty fish caught.
I want to thank Mr. Brandon Hall who came out and ran the scales for the tournament, and thank everyone who participated. Tight Lines and God Bless!

Happy veterans day and thank you to all those men and women who have served or are currently serving our country. Thank you!

I've gotten all the details for the Wounded veterans trout tournament next weekend, now lets hope the weather holds. One item of interest, is that each participants entry fee will pay for a shirt, and lunch at the weigh in. I will also have some unleaded drinks at the weigh in, but if you'd like a cold beer after a day on the water, I'd ask that you bring your own. I've attached a design to this post of the T-shirt design, and I'm hoping the weather holds, the fishing has been outstanding. The last two days, we've put it on some nice trout close to home, and I got a report that Delecroix and Hopedale areas are still producing quick limits of nice specks.
Let me know if you have any questions, and I hope to see you at the tourney!

    Tight Lines and God Bless!

I'm thinking about setting up a trout tournament for the veterans day weekend. I'm thinking about a 5 fish stringer with a separate big fish pot. $20 buy-in 100% cash back for first, second, and third.
What does everyone think? Good idea? Any suggestions?

    Tight Lines.

A comment titled: Postponed till the 19th in response to a report titled: Trout Fishing Tournament

Due to a Southern Anglers of Mississippi tourney on veterans day weekend, I'm postponing the tournament a weekend. Still working with the wounded warrior program to narrow down the details, and I'm fishing the IFA championship this week in chalmette, but I'll get something by next weekend. It will be a launch and fish wherever tourney as long as you make it to the scales in time.
