Been out a few times this year and the Reds and Specks are hungry! Looking for people wanting to trek out to Cat island for a day or two. Launched yaks from a boat once we got to Cat on Monday and had a great day. Anxious to get out there again. Only problem is I have a lot more spare time than…

I kayaked / fished the Biloxi river yesterday with great success. Lots of largemouth bass. The largest was 18 1/2', I didn't think that section of the river could sustain bass that large. This time of year the bass fishing appears to be great on the river.

I just setup a new group on Facebook that is entitled Mississippi Kayak Fishermen. http://www.facebook.com/groups/228411287279878/#!/groups/228411287279878/

I hope that any of you that fish via kayak will join the group. My plan is for this to be a group where we can plan float trips/fishing…

My sons and I want to find a place to camp and fish that is about half way between where they live in FL and I live in TX, which would be around Jackson. I have spent several hours trying to find a good spot, but it's a little hard when you don't know anything about the area. We want to tent…

Looking for a place to buy a hoble in the Biloxi area. Any suggestions?
Your best bet is that new place in D'Iberville. They have a pretty good selection of fishing yaks. Not sure about Hobies in particular. They just opened up, but I'll be damned if I can remember the name of it.

Just checking in. Yakker in Ocean Springs. New to the area, interested in decent kayak spots, fresh and salt. Redfish 12.
I'm not new to the area, but just starting kayak fishing. I have caught plenty of flounder wading and from piers, and can't wait to get after them from a kayak.

Anyone else fishing from a kayak in Central Mississippi? Also interested in hearing from folks on the coast. I love to take my kayak down there and chase the reds. I am excited to see a local forum devoted to kayak fishing. Speak up...it would be fun to have some local tournaments.
I do some small water fishing but it is wading not by Kayak though. Just small fish for fun and to cool off when it gets hot.
