  • Hello, gentlemen! This is my first post on this site and forum. I was wondering if anyone had any tips on where I could do some good hog hunting near Hattiesburg, MS? I just bought me a new CVA Scout V2 35 Remington and I'm ready to put it to use!!
I have hunted all around Hattiesburg and Poplarville. In order to have any success you will need to join a hunting club. There are several hunting club sites on facebook. Clubs looking for members will advertise. It is getting to be about as popular to hunt hogs as to hunt anything else.

Me and my 2 best friends would like to hunt some hogs in the north Ms.area.. We would do it for free with calls and no dogs, just calls and bows...If interested comment and leave a way to get ahold of you and we can meet and greet and maybe stick some pigs...Thanks and God bless Matt

6 hunters 13 hogs and 3 javalina in 3 days
Now that is speaking the truth when you say 'stacking'!

I am looking for either a dog that is cold nosed and can find its own hog (trash broke) or a young dog from good stock that I can hunt with my old dog until it can do it on its own. I have dogs that will run and bay once the…

was wonderin what public land can u hunt hogs with dogs and when?

New to hog hunting. Put up trail camera in Pascagoula river swamps for deer and got this picture. My son wants to put an arrow in it. I would prefer a 308. Can anyone estimate the size of this one from the picture? We hunt deer with bow and gun, but are new to hog hunting.
Looks to be sizeable, Long Bow. A .308 would definitely take it out safely. A bow would do the job, but I'd want ot be up a tree when I shot it. Nothing like an angry hog to turn ruin an otherwise great stalk.

When you boys pop it, be sure and let us see photos.

Anyone know of or willing to share advice on where to hunt hogs in North MS during the summer? I usually hunt Upper Sardis, but am looking for another option until the WMA season opens back up. Thanks!

Congratulations. Which county are you hunting? I am in Jefferson C. and I don't have any hogs yet, just wondering if they are getting closer. You say it is your first, are they new arrivals there are maybe you are the new arrival?

Took two hogs the other day in Hancock County. Ear tagged with #89 and #100. Were not domestic, definitely wild. Just wondering who is tagging the things.
