I would like to try fishing live shiners in Calling Panther. I was wondering where I can buy large shiners (6-7-inches) somewhere on the way. Anyone know who may have them?

My wife and I spent a couple hours at Lake Chotard yesterday afternoon with Paul Powers (aka 'Brown Egg' here on the site), his father-in-law Ronnie McGowan and all the rest of the folks who turned out for the Area 10 Special Olympics benefit tournament on Chotard.

Do you think all the bass are finished spawning at okhissa ? Someone asked me and I said I think they are done, but I wasn't 100% sure.
Fishin, I was at Okhissa early last month, and they were bedding. So I would think they should be about finished.

But with this full moon, there might be some stragglers.

    Any other thoughts?

Fished hard today (4/9/11). Caught 3. I ran the trolling motor on high all day passing up decent fish looking for that bucket mouth.

I saw some fish activity today that really baffled me. I came upon a hump in the back of a cove with a bed on it. In the bed, when I pulled up where 3 females…

I reckon we saw over 50 females in the 3lb-5lb range.

They did not work very well today, mainly because I believe they just moved up shallow Wed., the…
