It was a cold 30 degree morning in Bay Springs, MS on Dec. 4, when I decided to go sit in a tree stand instead of a shooting house. I haven't been to this tree stand all year so I figured it might just be the spot. Around 8:15, I saw some does walk across the creek so I got my gun up just in…

I hunt in between West, Ms. and Kosiusko, Ms. While hunting a week in mid to late October I got a chance to harvest a nice mature 8 point, unfortunately my shot was a little far back and could not find him. The day I was leaving my camp I got a text from my buddy from work to go make an afternoon…

On November 22nd at around 4:00pm my little brother layed the smackdown on this 225 pound 9 point. He was using a .243 Browning A-Bolt Microhunter in Hazlehurst. I could not be more proud of him.
Thats a nice one. I see some like that all the time but most aren't big enough to shoot at my camp.

This 8-9 year old buck was so interested in his girlfriend that he gave me a 2nd chance. The doe came into my food plot and I saw the big buck standing at the edge of the woods. I shot him and they both rand back into the woods they came from. I decided to wait a few minutes and then, like a…

On Christmas morning at 9:00 this beautiful 18 point non-typical that we've never seen before followed a running doe to the edge of my food plot. Knowing how fast they can disappear I immediately put the crosshairs on his shoulders an squeezed the trigger on my Tikka .308. He did not go down but…
