    Recreational Angler Participation (RAP) Session

    f you fish offshore and care about recreational fisheries, the Gulf Council is holding a series of “RAP Sessions” to provide you with an opportunity to voice your concerns or provide your comments on these federally managed fisheries.

    What is the RAP Session? The Gulf Council is holding a series of Recreational Angler Participation Sessions (RAP Sessions) in which they are hoping to get regular anglers to show up and express their concerns or ideas regarding federally managed fisheries such as red snapper, grouper, amberjack, trigger fish, etc… This is a chance to let the Gulf Council to get input from anglers who might not normally attend Gulf Council meetings or who may have views beyond the usual input received at Council meetings.

    When and Where: The RAP Session is on Wednesday (January 8) from 6:00-9:00 p.m.

    Who should attend or speak? If you fish offshore or have a business that is impacted by federally managed fisheries, this is a chance for you to voice your concerns or provide your ideas and input on how these fisheries should be managed.
