Avoiding Scams

You can avoid scammers by following these guidelines:

• Deal with people you can meet in person.
• Never wire funds via Western Union, Moneygram, or any other wire service.
• Avoid deals involving shipping or escrow services, Mississippi Sportsman does not provide any such services.
• Do not submit to background and / or credit checks until you have met the person in question.
• Be aware that banks WILL cash fake cashier checks and money orders and will hold you responsible for them when the fake is discovered.
• Ask for a phone number and talk to the seller before purchasing any item
• DO NOT PURCHASE EXPENSIVE ITEMS SIGHT UNSEEN.
